this site

• no cookies, no trackers, no analytics.
• no third-party requests. the fonts and icons live here too.
• it remembers two things in your browser's localStorage: whether you muted the sound, and the tv style you picked. they never leave your browser.
• our host, cloudflare, sees the usual request logs, like any website.

the app

• no telemetry. no account.
• everything runs on your computer.
• it only goes online for these:

1. the models, the first time it opens, from models.baritoad.com. later, only if you use tools › models.
2. lyrics lookup on lrclib, when you ask. it sends the song's title, artist, album and duration to lrclib.net.
3. add from url. yt-dlp fetches the link you pasted, and checks for its own update at most once a day, before a download.
4. party mode, only while you're hosting one.

like any website, each of those sees your ip address.

party mode

• the relay at party.baritoad.com gets the songs that are ready (title, artist, duration, collection names), the queue and which song is on, and each guest's name and toad.
• never audio, lyrics, timing files, cover art or file paths.
• it keeps a party only while it's open, and deletes it when the host ends it or has been gone for 10 minutes.
• the relay is open source, in the app's repo (services/relay), so anyone can check.

never uploaded anywhere.
